Free People’s June Lookbook, In The Groove, travels back in time to Venice, California with model Alena Blohm, where the days are longer and the times are more simple. The summer story focuses on clean ‘70s silhouettes highlighting a true Americana palette with neutrals mixed in for good measure. Denim plays a large role appearing in various shapes, including long and short rompers, tops, and Free People cult favorite, the Extreme Vintage Flare! Textures are a recurring theme throughout with corduroy, knits, suede, and crochet each having a special moment in the form of poolside perfect micro-minis and freewheeling flares. Accessories are downplayed but include Americana inspired scarves, sun-shielding wide brimmed hats, and statement shoes to help you find your inner ‘70s babe.
