“Australian fashion photographer India Hartford Davis was forced back to Sydney from London due to Covid-19. While being forced to wait out the pandemic at home, she shot and directed the Joslin campaign. This campaign was creating during isolation at the photographers beautiful farm in the Australian countryside.
The shoot was very important to all those involved, and as a team they adored getting back to nature and re-connecting to the land during such an uncertain time. India and the producer, Georgia Creer, coined the name of the shoot “Grounded”, as both creatives were working abroad (New York and London) and had both simultaneously been brought home, grounded and forced to re-evaluate their positions and contribution to a very fragile creative community.
The label, Joslin, is an emerging Australian label who actively engages in eco-friendly manufacturing and does not use any plastic or synthetics. Their signature linen and ramie are both naturally reoccurring and are made up of sustainable compositions with low carbon emissions, ‘zero’ waste and compostable properties.
